Incognito mode is a great way to browse the web without leaving a trace, but there are times when it can be too much of a good thing. Whether you want to limit your own browsing activity or prevent others from accessing your personal information, turning off incognito mode is simple and easy.

First, open up your Chrome browser and click on the thre vertical dots in the top-right corner. From there, select “Settings” from the drop-down menu. In the Settings menu, scroll down until you find “Privacy and Security” and click on it. You should now see an option labeled “Incognito Mode Availability”—click on that.

Once you’ve clicked on “Incognito Mode Availability,” right-click on it and select “Modify…” A text box will apear labeled “Value Data.” Here, type in a 0 to turn off incognito mode completely or 1 if you only want to disable it in certain circumstances (such as preventing others from using it). Switching from incognito to normal mode in the Chrome app is easy! On your device, open the Chrome app and tap the Open tabs icon (at the top right of the screen). This will bring up a list of your open tabs, both standard browsing tabs and incognito tabs. To switch from incognito to normal, simply drag from left to right on the list of open tabs. Depending on your security preferences, you can select the best option for you and your device.

Disabling Incognito Mode in Windows 10

To disable Incognito Mode in Windows 10, you will first need to open the registry editor. To do this, open the Start menu and type ‘regedit’ into the search bar. Once you have opened the registry editor, navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google. If thee is no Google folder in this location, right-click on Policies and select ‘New > Key’. Name this key ‘Google’ and double-click on it to open it.

Next, right click inside the Google folder and select ‘New > DWORD (32-bit) Value’. Name this value ‘IncognitoModeAvailability’ and double-click on it to open it. In the box that appears, set the value data to 1. Finally, restart your computer for these changes to take effect and Incognito Mode will be disabled on Windows 10.

Disabling Incognito Mode on YouTube Permanently

Unfortunately, it is not possible to permanently disable Incognito mode on YouTube. However, you can use the Family Link app to block the original YouTube app so that your child or brother cannot access it. Family Link also allows you to disable Incognito in Google Chrome and Google Search so that any searches conducted in these apps will not be anonymous. Additionally, you can use parental control services such as Net Nanny or Norton Family Premier to monitor and restrict access to certain websites and apps.

Changing Google Chrome to Normal Mode

To change Google Chrome to normal mode, open your Settings page from the Start bar and then click on the wrench icon. Go to the Personalization section and select Colors from the left side panel. From there, change the “Choose your default app mode” setting from Dark to Light. Once you have completed this step, Google Chrome will be reverted back to its normal mode.
