Welcome to our blog post about the Mac Air and how to delete photos from it. The Mac Air is a powerful machine, perfect for working on the go. With its slim form factor and long battery life, it’s ideal for taking photos wherever you go. But sometimes you may find yourself in a situation where you need to delete some of your photos from your Mac Air. Don’t worry – we’ve got you covered!

One of the first things to do when deleting photos from your Mac Air is to open System Preferences and select the iCloud tab. In the tab, you’ll see a checkmark next to Photos. Click on the checkmark to uncheck it and you’ll be asked if you want to delete the photos from your Mac. Say yes and the photos will start deleting from your device almost immediately.

If you’re in Album view versus Photos view, deleting a photo will only delete it from that specific photo album so make sure that you’re in Photos view before attempting to delete any of your photos. To delete a single photo or video, select its thumbnail and press the Delete button. For multiple photos and videos at once, press and hold down on the Command key while selecting several thumbnails then choose Edit > Delete.

Finally, if you ever accidentally deleted an important photo or video by mistake don’t panic – there’s an easy way to recover them! Just choose Edit > Undo Delete and they should return back into your Photos library within seconds.

We hope this blog post has been helpful in explaining how to delete photos from your Mac Air! Happy deleting!

Unable to Delete Photos From Mac

There are a few reasons why you may not be able to delete photos from your Mac. Firstly, you may be in Album view instead of Photos view. When in Album view, deleting a picture will only delete it from that specific album. Secondly, you may not have the correct permissions to delete the photo. To check this, right-click on the photo and select Get Info to see if you have Read & Write permissions. Lastly, it’s possible that the photo is locked or protected due to its file format or file system settings. To unlock or unprotect the photo, try changing its file format or adjusting its file system settings accordingly.

Deleting Photos From Macbook Air Without Affecting iCloud

To delete photos from your Mac but not iCloud, open System Preferences and select the iCloud tab. In the tab, you’ll see a checkmark next to Photos. Click on the checkmark to uncheck it and you’ll be asked if you want to delete the photos from your Mac. Select ‘No’ when prompted, and then your photos will remain in iCloud but will be removed from your Macbook Air.

Deleting Photos and Videos on a Macbook Air

To delete all photos and videos on your MacBook Air, open Photos or iPhoto, then select the ‘All Photos’ album. Once selected, click the ‘Edit’ button and choose ‘Select All’. Next, click the ‘Delete’ button in the lower-right corner of the window. This will delete all photos and videos from your MacBook Air. If you want to recover these deleted files, choose ‘Edit > Undo Delete’ before closing out of the app.

Does Deleting Photos on Mac Also Delete Them from iCloud?

Yes, deleting photos on your Mac will delete them from iCloud as well. This is because Photos on your Mac and iCloud are linked, meaning that any changes you make in the Photos app on your Mac will be automatically reflected in iCloud. So if you delete a photo from the Photos app on your Mac, it will also be deleted from iCloud. It’s important to note that this applies to all of your devices, so if you delete a photo from one device, it will be removed from all other devices that are linked to the same iCloud account.
