I definitely will love your opinion on the image you see below (that is not mine, anyway) but that is not what we intend to discuss in this narrative. The exciting bit is that Samsung is readying its own tablet, which Samsung calls a slate PC and the product should be available in the second quarter of this year.

I run out of fingers when counting the amount of tablets arriving this year and the Samsung slate news does not do me any good in this regard.

An Apple ad has been spotted on Australian website PC Authority detailing pricing for its new flagship mobile and desktop computers.

At yesterday’s MIX10 conference in Las Vegas, Microsoft unveiled three new handsets that will be running Windows Phone 7 series. And the one to get our attention is a Samsung-branded device, the Omnia i8910 HD.
If you remember WP7S requires a 1GHz processor and a WVGA screen. That’s something the Omnia HD lacks for now, which makes us think that what we’re looking in here is actually an upgraded Samsung Omnia HD handset, or maybe the Omnia HD2.

Marvell, the chipmaker, has showcased its version of the tablet at the Future of Publishing Summit that got underway at NY City. The Marvell prototype may be seen as a reference design for a 10.1-inch Android-based color tablet , and is expected that companies would push the design as a base to make their own devices. If things work out as planned, guys at Marvell would love to see tablets based on this design to go on sale by the end of this year.
