Extreme action, adventure and some of the best graphics on a PS3, is what probably makes God of War 3 the best Playstation 3 game of the year. Although a short game, God of War 3 has what it takes to keep you glued to your HDTV as you’ll be dealing with brutal Boss-kills, realistic action, smooth controls and a Hollywood blockbuster level soundtrack.

While half of the world is still battling the global meltdown, it seems that EA is in a boat of its own with its latest game sensation, Battlefield:Bad Company II, reaching 2.3 million copies sold in a quick duration of just over two weeks, matching the success of its Modern Warfare II which went public in 2009.

EA is so overwhelmed by the success that it could not hold back the details until the end of the month and now it is proudly bragging that Battlefield: Bad Company II is on its way to becoming the top selling title in March 2010.

When the Sony PlayStation Move first broke cover at the GDC exactly a week ago, a lot was being propagated about its accuracy and lag time. While its accuracy still remains unchallenged, the latency part has come under the scanner, and experts believe that the Motion Controller PS Move has a higher lag time than mentioned and it is the speed games that might suffer in the bargain.

Eurogamer decided to measure the lag time of the PS Move using a powerful 60fps-capable camcorder and a stopwatch, and the results weren’t exactly close to the promulgated ‘under 1 frame’ limit.

The 3D revolution is on, and many a player is gearing up to make the most of it. Chipmaker Nvidia is all set to garner all the attention in this spruced up scenario by lining up 3D PC gaming to 3D TVs. In an environment largely dominated by the Sony PlayStation 3, Nvidia’s efforts may be seen as commendable. Get set for a new leap in these environs by Spring.

The Nintendo DSi XL has not even been released in the US, but already, fans are eager for information on the next gen handheld console. News about the Nintendo DS2 came out first at the GDC 2010 with a few details being leaked in the process. It is being called the DS2 – but nobody really knows what the official name will be. Like the existing DS, the DS2 will have dual-displays, but they will be much larger and will be of higher resolution and will be placed close together so that they can be combined into one large screen if necessary.
Microsoft is making the most of the Game Developer’s Conference (GDC) platform to detail how its push notifications are going to work on the upcoming mobile Operating System. Of course, when a platform of the kind of GDC gets underway, we do expect some good innovations on the show racks. With Microsoft giving details on push notifications on the mobile OS, this time around the event has an added charm.
If you wanted to play the Crysis first edition on a PC, it was clear that a lot of money spending had to be done to upgrade your system, since the requirements were high. With the second edition of the touted trilogy, Crysis 2, Crytek has decided to lower the system requirements for the PC edition of the game. Crysis 2 will be set in New York where the players will get a chance to blast off the alien faces invading New York.

Carl Jones from Crytek revealed the information in his speech at the Indian Game Developer Summit 2010 where he also announced that Indian developers will get the CryEngine 3 at discounted prices.
