Locating Quick Memos

Your QuickMemos can be found in the Gallery app. To access them, open the Gallery app and select the QuickMemo+ album. Alternatively, you can open the Tools folder in your Apps tab and select QuickMemo+. From there, you can access your memos.

Turning On Quick Memo

To turn on QuickMemo, simply open the QuickMemo app on your device. You can find it in your device’s app drawer. Once the app is open, you will see a options bar at the top of the screen. Tap the options bar tab to access the QuickMemo option icons. From here, you can create a new memo, save an existing memo and access other settings related to QuickMemo.

The Disappearance of QuickMemo

Your QuickMemo may have disappeared if it was deleted and moved to the trashcan. The QuickMemo+ App moves memos to the trashcan when they’re deleted, and then purges them out permanently after 7 days. Within this 7-day period, you can restore any memos you wish to keep. So it’s possible that your QuickMemo has been deleted and moved to the trashcan, but you still have time to restore it before it’s permanently purged out.

Locating Memo on Android Devices

To find memo in Android, open your device’s file manager app. Depending on the phone, this may be named Files, My Files, or something similar. Once inside the file manager, locate and select the ‘Memos’ folder. This folder will contain any memos you have saved on your device. If you do not see a Memos folder listed, type “.memo” into the search bar and select any File reader to associate the “.memo” files with it. After that, you should be able to view all your memos in the Memos folder.

Opening QuickMemo Files on a PC

To open a QuickMemo file on your PC, you first need to extract the contents of the file using a Zip utility such as 7zip or WinZip. Once extracted, you will find a memoinfo.jlqm file, which contains the text of the note. To view this file, you can use any text editor such as Notepad or Wordpad. You can also use an online converter to convert the .jlqm file into othr more common formats such as .txt, .rtf, .html, and .pdf so you can open and view it in other programs such as Microsoft Word or Adobe Reader.

Restoring Memos from Samsung Cloud

To restore your memos from Samsung Cloud, start by opening the Samsung Notes app. Then tap the three lines in the top left corner of the app. This will bring up a pop-up window with a cog icon in the top right corner. Tap on this cog icon to open the Settings menu. From here, select ‘Import Data’ and then choose ‘Memos – From Samsung Account’. This will restore your memos from Samsung Cloud to your device. Unfortunately, QuickMemo is a preinstalled app, which means that it cannot be removed by the user. These types of apps are referred to as “bloatware” because they come pre-installed on the device, and are not removable. If you go to Settings>Apps and select the app and you don’t see an Uninstall button, then it’s bloatware. Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do about this, other than disable the app so that it doesn’t take up space or run in the background.

Deleting a Memo Category

To delete a memo category, go to Settings > General > Smart Cleaning. Select the Memo category, then select an item to delete. Tap CLEAN YES to confirm deletion of the selected item. Please note that deleting a memo category will erase all memos within that category.

Maximum Length of a Voice Memo

Voice memos can be recorded for as long as you have available storage on your device. There is no specific time limit, as the recording will continue until you either hit the stop button or run out of storage.
