Accessing the Now Playing Screen on an iPhone

Removing the ‘Now Playing’ Feature

To get rid of the Now Playing screen on your Apple Watch, follow these steps:
1. On your Apple Watch, press the Digital Crown to view your apps.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Scroll down and tap Display & Brightness.
4. Scroll all the way to the bottom and disable Auto-Launch Audio Apps.
Once this option is disabled, you will no longer see the Now Playing screen on your Apple Watch when playing audio through an app such as Apple Music or Spotify.

Turning Off Now Playing

To turn off Now Playing on your Apple Watch, you’ll need to disable the Auto-Launch Audio Apps setting. On your Apple Watch, open the Settings app and scroll down to Display & Brightness. To get rid of the Now Playing tab on your iPhone home screen, you can swipe to the right from the left edge of the screen to access the Today View screen. Then, touch and hold the Music Widget and tap “Remove Widget” in the popup. This will remove the Now Playing tab from your home screen.
