Hiding the Bookmarks Bar in Windows 10

To hide the bookmarks bar in Windows 10, open Microsoft Edge and select Settings and more. Next, select Settings. Under Appearance, toggle the Show favorites bar option to Never. The Inability to Hide Bookmarks Bar

The Bookmarks bar in Chrome is a convenient way to access frequently visited websites and other bookmarks, so it cannot be completely hidden by default. However, if you are using Windows 10, you can edit the registry to hide it from the New Tab page. If you don’t want to edit the registry, you can still hide the Bookmarks bar from view using the Ctrl+Shift+B keyboard shortcut.

Troubleshooting Bookmarks Bar Visibility Issues

If the bookmarks bar won’t disappear, it culd be due to a few reasons. First, make sure you’ve unchecked the “Show Bookmarks Bar” option in Chrome’s settings menu. If this is already unchecked and the bookmarks bar is still visible, try closing and reopening your browser window to see if that helps. If that doesn’t work, it could be because you are using an extension or plugin that requires the bookmarks bar to appear. Try disabling any extensions or plugins you have installed to see if that solves the problem. If you’re still unable to hide your bookmarks bar, contact Google support for further assistance.

Hiding the Bookmarks Bar in Safari

To hide the bookmarks bar in Safari, open Settings and scroll down to the Safari section. In that section, find the “General” subsection and look for a switch labeled “Show Favorites Bar.” Flip the switch so that it is in the ‘Off’ position. This will hide your bookmarks bar from view.
