How to Control Volume on Apple AirPods Pro

Apple AirPods Pro are the perfect combination of convenience and sound quality. They offer active noise cancellation, and are designed to fit comfortably in your ears. But what many people don’t know is that they also boast a great way to control the audio volume: through the use of teir touch controls.

The Apple AirPods Pro feature a set of touch controls on the stem of each earbud. With these controls you can easily skip forward or back, and adjust the volume up or down. To skip forward, double-press the Touch control. To skip back, triple-press the Touch control. To turn the volume up or down, place your thumb on the stem of ether AirPod, and use your index finger to swipe up or down on the Touch control.

In addition to this easy-to-use method for controlling your audio volume, Apple also included an accessibility feature that allows users to customize thir audio balance between left and right channels. To do this, simply go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual, then adjust the Balance slider. Set it to center if you want equal amounts of sound coming from each earbud.

Controlling Volume on AirPods Pro

To control the volume on your AirPods Pro (2nd generation), place your thumb on the stem of either AirPod and use your index finger to swipe up or down on the Touch control. Swiping up increases the volume, and swiping down decreases it. You can also hold down the Touch control for two seconds to enable or disable Noise Cancellation.

Customizing the Volume on AirPods

To customize the volume on your AirPods, go to the Settings app on your iPhone. Navigate to Accessibility, then Audio/Visual. From there, you can adjust the Balance slider to set the audio volume balance in the center. Additionally, you can use Siri or an Apple device like an Apple Watch or HomePod to adjust your AirPods’ volume by saing “Hey Siri, turn up my AirPods”.

The Inability to Control Volume on AirPods

Unfortunately, AirPods don’t have any physical buttons that allow you to adjust the volume, so you can only adjust the volume through your device. If you’re using your AirPods with an iPhone or iPad, you can access the AirPods settings to adjust the volume. First, go to Settings > Accessibility and select AirPods. Then select your AirPods and choose Tone Volume to adjust the audio level. If you’re using your AirPods with an Apple Watch, you won’t be able to adjust the volume directly on your watch; instead, use your iPhone or iPad to access the AirPods settings.

By tapping the stem, you can do various tasks such as playing and pausing audio, playing the next track by double-pressing the stem, playing the previous track by triple-pressing the stem and answering a call when you receive one.

Maximizing AirPods Volume

To maximize your AirPods volume, tap the “i” button next to your AirPods Max on the screen. Then, tap Digital Crown. Under Increase Volume By Rotating, you can choose either ‘Increase by 1 dB’ or ‘Increase by 3 dB’. This will increase the maximum volume limit for your AirPods.
