Once you’re logged in, go to the Numbers menu and click on the pencil icon next to the number you want to release. This will bring up a dialog box with release options. You can choose to release the number immediately or after a set number of days.
If you choose to release the number immediately, it will be released into our pool of available numbers and anyoe can claim it. If you choose to release the number after a set number of days, it will be released automatically and someone else may claim it.

No, TextFree does not show your username. Your username is only visible to the account holder within the account settings and is not visible to your recipients. Usernames are generated based on your ’email alias’ address, and if that alias is already taken, we then add a series of numbers to the end to make it unique.
