eBay’s Watchlist feature makes it easy to save items to come back for them later and track items on eBay. In this eBay Watchlist guide, I will show you exactly how to use the eBay Watchlist feature.

What Is the eBay Watchlist?

The eBay Watchlist is an eBay item tracking feature that allows you to save items on eBay that you want to buy but aren’t ready to commit to buying just yet.

For example, let’s say you plan to buy a new laptop, but you don’t have the money for it yet. You see a laptop you like, and you want to make sure you can come back to it later when you have the cash for it.

Just save it to your eBay Watchlist, and you can find it later at any time! Not only that, but you’ll get notification updates about the items on your list. For example, if a listing is ending soon, you will get a notification about it, so you don’t miss out. You can turn off notifications about these items in your eBay settings, if you wish.

To view your eBay Watchlist, click on Watchlist at the top of the screen when logged into your eBay account. This will display a few selected items from your Watchlist. Then, click on “View All Items You Are Watching” to see your complete Watchlist.

Alternatively, navigate to My eBay> Watchlist to view your Watchlist.

How Many Items Can You Add to the eBay Watchlist?

You can add up to 1,000 items to your eBay Watchlist. If you hit the eBay Watchlist limit, simply remove some items from your Watchlist so that you have fewer than the maximum number of items on your eBay Watchlist.

Can You See Who Is Watching Your eBay Item?

No. For privacy reasons, sellers can only see the watcher count on eBay. In other words, they can see how many people are watching an item. However, they can not see who these watchers are. For example, they can’t see their usernames or email addresses.

Typically, when you bid on an item, you will receive notifications about it in real-time, such as when you are outbid, especially if you also added the item to your Watchlist. Recently, however, eBay has introduced a new feature called eBay Live, which allows you to literally watch auctions live.

eBay Live is a livestream feature, like YouTube Live or Facebook Live, that allows sellers to go live on video and present items and hold auctions virtually. Watchers can place bids in real time and leave comments.

You can edit your payment details when watching a live auction to ensure that you are using the correct payment method for any bids you place.

Can You Share Your eBay Watchlist?

No. You can not share your eBay Watchlist publicly. This is unlike Amazon, which allows you to create a public watchlist that you can share with others. However, you can share individual items from your eBay Watchlist.

Why Should You Use the eBay Watchlist?

There are many benefits of using the eBay Watchlist feature. It helps you compare similar listings, monitor items offered by other sellers, track price drops, and more! It’s a great way to manage your budget as well by putting off purchasing items for later, to avoid spending too much money.

Conclusion

I hope you enjoyed these eBay Watchlist tips. The eBay Watchlist is a great way to manage watched items on eBay. You can add items to your Watchlist so you can view them later or get notifications about important events, such as price drops.
