You Can Now Reply to Instagram Stories with Pictures & Videos

Instagram’s Story feature is one feature that has received heavy upgrades ever since it was introduced. The app has constantly upgraded the feature to stay on par with Snapchat, and as a result, it is now receiving a major overhaul that will add photo replies to Stories.

The photo replies is similar to photo comments you can spot on social networking platforms like Facebook. But being a photo-hosting app, Instagram will offer users the ability to post live photos and videos as replies which will appear within the Stories to which the reply is made.

Users can input photos or videos as replies by simply tapping the camera button while watching a Story. The option to record the looping Boomerang is also provided alongside. In addition to this, users can also use other handy tools like filter addition and stickers to retrofit their replies before making it public.

Apart from stickers within the images, users will also be provided an option to attach additional stickers that will be displayed off the image or video. Instagram has also provided the option to resize the stickers so as to reduce the overlay of stickers and replies over the original Stories.

Replies posted will be notified to the recipient via Direct message inbox. Similar to the photos and videos shared through Direct message, these replies will also fade out once it has been viewed by the user. The notifications for replays or screenshot capture in Direct message will also be available for the one who had posted the photo or video reply.

The feature is made available both on Android and iOS version through the app’s updated version 10.28. You can check for it by heading to the respective app store.
