Audi Redesigns Audi Q7 with 2.0L TFSI Turbo Power

October 21, 2016, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Audi has come up with a new edition of its second generation Q7 SUV. This revamped version of Q7 comes powered by a 2.0L TFSI turbo four-cylinder engine that is faster, lighter, more fuel efficient. It also comes across as less expensive and weighs 26% lesser than the 2015 Q7 version which had a 3.0L, V-6 engine.

The 2.0L turbocharged engine of Audi Q7, which will make 252 hp and 273lb-ft, will be mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission. This is the first time a four-cylinder engine is installed in the  Q7, and Audi claims that it will cover 60 mph half a second faster than its previous-generation base Q7 model.

The exterior seems largely untouched, and the new Q7 will arrive with similar exterior looks of its predecessor. Further, the bumper, which has been renovated with huge air intakes, taillights and trapezoid-shaped exhaust pipes, gives it a breath of fresh air.

Audi’s habit of  lining up models with particularly exceptional in interior designs isn’t broken here too. The new Q7 is shorter and narrower, but the makers have adjusted its interior setting to offer more space.

The second generation of this crossover SUV, which will start shipping by early 2017, would drive in sporting three trim levels  – Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.

The biggest rivals of the new Q7 on the road will be BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
