2017 Jaguar XF Powered by Ingenium Diesel Engine Heads for the US

It’s been a while since we came across some awesome machines on wheels. This one we chanced upon looked so exciting that it called for a deeper look.

We are taking of the new innovation that Jaguar has injected into its factories, and the result is the 2017 model of the XF. The 2017 Jaguar XF is all set to head for North American shores, making it the first-ever diesel powertrain for US XF customers.

Promising 42 mpg on the highway, the Ingenium diesel engine is capable of putting out 180hp and 318 lb-ft of torque. It is also being said the AWD platform for the vehicle is being rolled out on a global scale.


The 8-speed auto transmission capability would be one thing that would excite you. You needn’t worry about the performance part, as it certainly brings in some benefits on the fuel economy terrain.

In case you take it out for a spin in adverse conditions, the inbuilt Adaptive Surface Response for the Jaguar Drive Control comes to your support by making the vehicle better composed.

In the North American market place, the Jaguar XF complete with the 2.0L turbodiesel i4 engine will sell for $47,450. That’s what the price tag looks like. Meanwhile, the 3.0L supercharged V6 with 340hp would start at $50,490 and the 3.0L supercharged V6 with 380hp at $62,700.

Further, we hear the AWD versions of the new diesel XF would start at $50,450.  It is also being reported that the Jaguar Prestige and R-sport models would be fitted with configurable driving dynamics that would offer individual settings for suspension, steering, throttle, and transmission for tailored driving experiences.
