Xiaomi is not just launching a smartwatch for the kids; they are gearing up one for the adults too.

The Chinese manufacturer has engaged themselves with a series of product launches this year, most of which will be coming to the markets this month.

Alongside, they will also have their first ever smartwatch launched into the markets, and it will arrive at some point later this year.

The smartphone launch was confirmed by Liu De, the co-founder and Vice President of Xiaomi while speaking at a conference in Beijing. Not only did he reveal that the company is having a smartphone in the offing, he also added that the device is already ready.

The launch of the smartwatch is said to be taking place during the second quarter of 2016. However, we do not expect that to take place in hurry, as Xiaomi has already got their Mi Band 2 geared up for launch this month.

Xiaomi’s interest for wearable gadgets also appears to be at peak this year, with the company now bringing out three wearable devices in 2016. Apart from the Mi Band and the upcoming smartwatch, Xiaomi has already launched a smartwatch for the kids which is available at $46.

The company is also busy on the smartphone front, with their new smartphone, called Mi Max, billed to hit the markets on May 10. The smartphone has been spotted on the GFXBench listing, and features a Qualcomm hexa-core processor with 3GB RAM, 6.4-inch display with Full HD resolution, and 4500 mAh capacity battery.
