Sprint Offers Microsoft Office 365 Cloud Based Productivity for $6 a Month

August 1, 2012, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Sprint is now offering some productivity for its users on the go. Sprint has announced that its customers can make use of Microsoft Office 365 cloud service on its network.

The Office 365 from Microsoft brings along the most popular productivity software package of Microsoft Office and related web applications so that small- and mid-level enterprises can use the power of cloud-based collaboration on a mobile workforce.

Sprint is planning to make the offer adding some extra value added services with it, so that users will find increased productivity. The carrier is planning to levy $6 per month for those who are opting for the service.

The service will be suitable for small- and mid-range enterprises since the package gives access to major Office web apps along with access to mail, calendar, instant messaging, conferencing and file sharing.

Setting it up is pretty simple and you can access it from any type of device as far as it can access internet. The built-in antivirus and spam-filtering technologies with the service offer good security. The service is available also as per-user per-month subscriptions.

The move is actually a part of Sprint’s strategy of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) which offers support, office and field productivity services to its customers. In the same line, the network is also planning Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) which is expected to launch in late 2012.

Let us know if you would like the productivity apps on cloud, accessed through the 3G or 4G networks of Sprint for that price.
