Who Loves E-Readers?

Perhaps the question should really be, “Who doesn’t love e-readers?”

Country club members and paralegals. Dieticians and international business travelers. They’re all likely to purchase an e-reader, according to trend data. About 11 million were bought last year and somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 percent of adults in the U.S. are expected to own a Kindle, Nook, Sony Reader or other such device by the end of this year.

BlueKai, a company that uses research data to slice and dice the market for advertisers, looked at the purchase data, analyzed it and concludes that the tablet is the next great advertising platform, in the infographic below.
