Apple Reportedly Assembling Ultra-Thin MacBook for 2012

‘Thin’ has always been Apple’s motto and fashion, and the Cupertino-based company is reportedly going to stretch its thickness factor a trifle more.

The rumor waves are washing ashore snippets about the company looking to release an ultra-thin MacBook, which would be the thinnest in their armory.

The rumored ultra-thin 15-inch MacBook is raising eyebrows, and Air fans are already drooling over the idea. But this thin model may not, reportedly, be classified as an ‘Air’.

Instead, the company is rumored to categorize it as a ‘next-generation’ MacBook Pro model. We might even see this in markets sometime next year, as Apple is allegedly in the testing room and has finished the LCD component checks for the device.

The new MacBook Pro model that’s currently available in the market is equipped with faster Intel Sandy Bridge processors complemented by better AMD Radeon graphics card and larger storage space.

If the Ultra-thin 15-inch MacBook is set free next year, we can expect it to carry the new Ivy Bridge processor from Intel, and that means a 20% increase in CPU performance.

Guess the processor might not be the only thing that would be upgraded. But let’s wait for more news.

Meanwhile, leave us your thoughts on the new thin generation.
