Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Smartphones HTC Radar, Samsung Omnia and Acer Allegro on India Trip

Eastward, is the where Microsoft is looking to with their latest Windows Phone 7.5 OS devices. They have launched the new OS in India by introducing the HTC Radar.

Along with the HTC Radar, the company will be launching smartphones like Samsung Omnia W and Acer Allegro in the next few days.

The WP7.5 OS comes with support for front-facing cameras and allows third-party app developers in bringing video conferencing applications.

HTC Radar, one of the first Windows Phone 7.5 smartphones, sports a 3.8-inch WVGA SLCD screen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 512 MB RAM and 8GB internal memory. It comes integrated with two cameras: a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA in front for video chatting.

We hear the Radar will feature support to the localized applications specific to the Indian market.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Omnia W is equipped with a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with 800 x 480 resolutions, a 1.4 GHz processor, 512MB RAM and 8GB storage.

The Acer Allegro, a mid range smartphone, comes with a 3.6-inch WVGA display, a 1GHz single-core processor, 8GB storage and 5-megapixel rear camera. All the three devices boast support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity.

The Radar will be released by next week, meanwhile Omnia W and Allegro have been scheduled for November. The HTC Radar is priced in India at Rs 23, 990 ($489) whereas the Omina W will cost Rs 19, 900 ($406).

No pricing for the Allegro has been revealed as yet. We look forward to hear from our Indian readers as to which one are you planning to buy.
