Rumor mills are always busy when it comes to Apple’s much-awaited iPhone 5. Of course, the iOS 5 is not out of the limelight as it is expected to come with the fifth generation iPhone.

Earlier, we have had rumors of carrier testing and the software being readied for installation in the iPhone 5, now the latest reports say that the iOS 5 will arrive five days before the world sees the iPhone 5.

Apparently, Apple has alerted their AppleCare arm to be ready for an increased number of iOS queries from customers, starting October 10th.

According to AppleInsider, a person familiar with the matter said his local AppleCare call center has been told to expect an eight fold increase in consumer calls on that day.

This could simply mean that Apple is planning to the release of the iOS 5 in that timeframe, maybe the iCloud as well.

And, according to Stephen Richard, CEO of French mobile carrier Orange, the next gen iPhone will be available five days later. He has said if he believed what he heard, the iPhone 5 will be released on October 15th.

We cannot confirm the arrival of the iOS 5 on October 10th. But Apple normally releases the software updates before the release of new hardware. The iOS 5 is all set to be installed on the already assembled iPhone 5 handsets.

Apple is believed to be gearing up for a press event at the end of this month to announce the iPhone 5. But the company is silent as ever on anything related to the iPhone 5. Men of action, it seems.
