Games In Google+ Being Added Today

August 11, 2011, By Christian Davis

Even though Google+ has only been out for a month and a half, everyone was already wondering when games were going to be integrated into the rapidly growing social network. Today on Google’s blog, they’ve remedied those who have been waiting and wondering. Games are being added to your Google+ experience today and is aiming to be “fun that fits your schedule.”

Some of you may have seen a new tab at the top of you Google+ page that says “Games.” Clicking that tab will show you the latest game updates from your circles, browse the invites you’ve received and check out games that people you know have played recently. Google is still sticking strong with complete user control and their users to have control over when and how you see the games, how you play them, and with whom you play with. No excessive Restaurant City invites? Fine with me.

One thing that Google+’s games have over other networks are the inclusion of accomplishments that you’ve obtained when playing. Things such as high score or highest level will be displayed. If you don’t feel like seeing those things, don’t worry. These notifications will not populate your screen and will still be focused on the conversations with people you’re concerned about.

Now remember, this is being rolled out gradually, so you may not see the tab right away.

Check out the video below of Google + Games. Who has tried Google+ Games already? Let us know what you think of them in the comments.
