The Sanyo Vero handset, which was earlier expected to launch on October 10th, is now available from Sprint. The cellphone, which is made by Kyocera Communications, is considered as a budget phone since the device comes with a very low price tag.

The Vero, which is a clamshell handset, is going for a mere $9.99 with the customary 2-year contract. The device, which comes equipped with a 2.4-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 320×240 pixels, will have a 1.3-inch external OLED display.

The device features a 1.3 megapixel camera and an 840 mAh lithium ion battery that will be providing 5.2 hours of continuous talk time. The phone, which measures 96.5 x 56 x 15.2 mm and weighs 108g, will also have Bluetooth with A2DP and a 2.5mm headphone jack.

Other features include Voice Dialing, GPS, support for CDMA dual band network and many more.

The phone seems to be the perfect first phone for your kids. They will be getting their necessary features and it doesn’t matter if they lose it since it costs very less.
