HTC HD7 Specs Leaked Ahead of Schedule

HTC HD7 is the company’s flagship Windows Phone 7 handset, but according to some reports, its specs have nothing special to actually win us over — except for the OS it runs on.

According to some recent leaks, the new HTC HD7 is not very different from the HD2 (that runs Windows Mobile 6.5), although a bit bigger. Another noticeable thing after seeing that large 4.3-inch WVGA TFT multi-touch display capable of a full 16.7 million colours, is that the HD7 comes with AWS support — which means that it will be headed to T-Mobile in the US.

The specs sheet includes a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 processor, a 5MP camera with dual LED flash (perfect for night shooting) and HD video capabilities (at 720p video quality), 576MB RAM and 512MB ROM. Regarding storage, HTC HD7 only comes with a built-in microSD card with 8GB of memory —  supposedly non-removable, meaning you won’t be able to upgrade the HD7 with a 32GB card, for example.

For now there’s no official information coming from Taiwan, and we’re a bit skeptical that a “flagship” Windows Phone 7 mobile can be launched with such features. Let’s wait and see if HTC confirms any of these. We’re patient, we really are …
