Not sure if any of you expected that bu Google have just announced availability for an unlocked Nexus One Android-smartphone on AT&T in the US and Rogers Wireless in Canada. That means that a Nexus One equipped with 3G and no contracts attached will be available to users that are ready to pay the price: a hefty $529 compared to the T-Mobile plan that sells it for $179.

Both the AT&T Nexus One and the Rogers Nexus One are available for purchase right now, so go busting your credit card if that’s what you’ve been waiting for the last two months.

For those who’re expecting the Verizon Wireless version or for Vodafone in Europe to start carrying the device, rest assured, it’s “coming soon”.

If you who can’t remember it, Google Nexus One is an Android 2.1 device with an interesting 3.7 inch (diagonal) widescreen WVGA AMOLED touchscreen (800 x 480 pixels) with a 1ms response time and an 100,000:1 typical contrast ratio. It runs on a snappy 1GHz Qualcomm processor, has a 5 megapixels camera with autofocus, 2x digital zoom and LED flash. On top of that there’s 512 MB of RAM, a built-in AGPS receiver, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a digital compass and an accelerometer.

Is that neat, or expensive?
