ASUS Eee Box EB1501 Unboxed

A French website has just reviewed ASUS’s newest addition to its Eee Box line, the EB1501. The Eee Box computers are the equivalent of the Eee PC for the house – mini-sized desktop boxes that take up far less space than your standard computer, and are much more economic. The Eee Box now features a DVD burner as well, streamlining the process of OS re-installation.

The computer is powered by an Intel Atom N330, and it has 2 GB of DDR RAM, 250 GB hard drive, a Nvidia ION video card, wireless and LAN support, and comes with a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium.

The Eee Box is the perfect solution for lovers of minimalist designs – when completely installed and running, the only two cables are the power cord and the monitor cable – everything else runs wirelessly, freeing your desk (and the space behind it) of the cluttered mess that a lot of cables create. It’s powerful enough to satisfy your daily needs, so if you need something small and efficient, this should definitely figure in your shopping list.
