Logitech Unveils Squeezebox Touch Media Player and Squeezebox Radio

September 3, 2009, By Atul Roach

Logitech is a brand we absolutely admire for it keeps coming up with some great home entertainment products. Latest from the adorable moniker are a couple of Squeezebox lineage products, the Squeezebox Touch and the Squeezebox Radio. While the Touch is a compressed media player, the Radio is a media streamer with a full color display.

It is obvious that both these products can be directly linked to the Squeezebox streaming music system. What we could not predict however is that both offer internet support and can hence hook up with services like Pandora.

The Touch comes with a 4.3-inch touchscreen WiFi b/g. Also, it offers sampling rates of up to 24 bits at 96 kHz for an existing speaker system just in case you possess one.

As far as the Radio is concerned, it comes with built-in amplifiers and speakers plus an optional rechargeable battery.

The highlight of both products is an App Gallery system whereby you can share your now playing track information through Facebook. The touch will probably be available before Christmas for $299 while the Radio will arrive by the end of the month and will cost $199. [via: Slashgear]
