It is here where the whole FPS genre was created by Activision and now it is time for a sequel to continue thriving on that popular Nazi killing formula. Activision and id Software have finally announced the sequel for Wolfenstein and it will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC, all at once.

Activision did not waste much time releasing the game, indeed this development came up as a surprise as the trailer for the sequel was released four days ago.

The game is available for $59.99 and as mentioned before, it is getting released for all consoles together which means there will be no one waiting-normally the PS3 players are the ones who suffer.

A lot more work has gone into the sequel as the aim was to deliver an epic game-play experience by seamlessly blending intense combat throughout a compelling sci-fi narrative.

The sequel did take a long time coming and during that period a lot of FPS genre based games where the intent is to decimate the Nazis have surfaced. We just hope that those games haven’t reduced the enthusiasm with which one takes to the Wolfenstein franchise. [via: cinemablend]
