There is a flourish of new notebook introductions in the market with every big moniker revealing its latest product. However, contrary to Dell, Lenovo has chosen to to introduce a scorcher of a CULV ultraportable without bothering much about the present paying capacity of the people. The model dubbed the IdeaPad U450p however justifies its high price with a range of laudable integrations.

The 14-inch variant is readily up for sale with a price tag of $799, that can go up to $899 depending on the combination you choose.

The U450p is offered with either the Intel 1.3GHz Pentium SU2700 or 1.4GHz Core 2 Solo SU3500 processors which are backed by 4GB DDR3 RAM. These specs are similar to the just outed Dell Vostro 1015.

Even the 320GB at 5,400 rpm HDD Storage is reminiscent of the Dell variant and so is the Anti-glare display though the resolution is different at 1,366 x 768.

Other integrations include an Intel X4500 graphics card, a DVD burner, three USB ports and an audio in/out. The connectivity choices include WiFi b/g/n or b/g, ethernet, VGA and HDMI. [via: Slashgear]
