For those who have been watching LG’s activities, here’s some bit of news from a different part of the world. LG’s GW620, which arrived a while earlier, is now doing the rounds in Italy in a different name. Known as LG LinkMe, the original LG GW620 has now been launched in Italy. The smartphone running Android which is giving Italy its first taste of the latest LG innovation, is being sold for €299, which translates to about $405.

The news is Navigon has released the 1.5.0 update for its MobileNavigator iPhone GPS app which comes with three special features improving the services sphere furthermore. The Terrain view gets better with a 3D format and so does the Panorama view while there is also an in-app connectivity with Facebook and Twitter.

Google has tried and failed on a lot many occasions but that does not deter the creativity of the internet behemoth which is now targeting Twitter as per a WSJ report. Google users can already update their status through Gmail and now the Twitter-like update platform will enable Google users to upload videos and images other than the status message.

For this, Google will make sure that the platform is close-knit with its video sharing platform YouTube and the image sharing base Picasa. The current problem is that every time a user will update his status the previous update will disappear.

We have been hearing a lot about the Zune media player which aims at beating the iPhone. The device that is said to be in the works at Microsoft is now set to arrive and is most likely to be rolled out along with the launch of Windows Mobile 7. Paul Chambers, a finance supervisor from England, was getting frustrated at the airport, which caused him to make an angry post on his Twitter account. The post in question stated “Crap! Robin Hood airport is closed. You’ve got a week and a bit to get your s*** together, otherwise I’m blowing the airport sky high.”

Today Twitter has been hacked by the “Iranian Cyber Army” who tried to protest against the US govt’s involvement in the country’s elections when Twitter was used as a speak up tool for anyone who wanted to have their voice heard.
The Iranian hackers have briefly blocked access to Twitter (twitter.com and status.twitter.com have been down for some tiem) by steering the DNS records to a website where they posted the following message:

A configuration change sent Microsoft’s Bing for a toss, for around 30 minutes, forcing the technology giant to go for a rollback. As soon as the issue started running out of hand, Microsoft jumped on to troubleshooting error and saw that the scene got back to normal avoiding major hassles for itself.
