iPad enthusiasts in the UK are a confused lot. They are just waiting for the device to hit stores, but then Apple hasn’t yet told them what it would sell for. Though the US and North American markets now know the exact price, UK customers seems to have their fingers crossed over what kind of price tag would be.

The hype seems to have given way to disappointment for Hollywood, with the Apple iPad falling short of the tinsel town’s expectations. It is being believed that executives in Hollywood had anticipated a device that could come about as a game changer for film and TV studios. However, for them at least, it has ended up as just another gadget that boasts of the computing functions of a laptop and an e-reader.

The Apple event kicked in and Steve is on the stage boring us with all sorts of data regarding the company, their financials and history, mentioning from time to time the word tablet and frying us on low fire in here. But here’s something that you can think of as Steve Jobs just said “We think we’ve got something that is better. And we call it the iPad.”

Not sure about you but for us that’s official recognition that the Apple tablet is going to be called the iPad. Let’s wait to get some specs, features and prices for the new device. [Image courtesy of Engadget]
