Sony is in the mood to take a noticeable advantage in the Console supremacy war as it yesterday roped in six major studios to offer HD movies and now, the ‘ghostly’ PlayStation Move which is a Wii-mote like motion control unit with game support, has also been announced at the GDC.

Sony made resounding promises to price their 3DTVs much cheaper than those being manufactured by Panasonic but it seems that Sony is covering up the losses with its overly priced 3D glasses.

For a family of four, the 3D sun glasses set will cost a shocking $587 and this includes the charge for the $55 Infra-red emitter. The emitter isn’t some accessory but a connected gadget which will complete the HD experience while viewing a 3DTV through the 3D Shutter Glasses.

The Vaio M badging has surfaced again after a gap of 6 years and it is not for a new Sony notebook but a netbook that replaces the recently updated Sony Vaio W netbook series.

As per the leaked details, there isn’t much that separates the Vaio M from the Vaio W lineage and it is just the designing which gets altered along with a new name of course. On the inside, Vaio M gets the 1.66GHz Pine Trail-era Atom, 1GB of RAM and 250GB hard drive combo all of which is integrated in the latest W series.
