We cannot thoroughly call the latest Pentax release a camera for the common man, but whatever it is, the Pentax 645D Medium Format Camera deserves to be called a rugged beast.

The pros might find it more interesting given its pricing, but it is never too bad for a family that wants to get clicked through generations using the same Camera. I call it rugged to the core for it has a virtually indestructible chassis which is pretty evident in the images.

Pentax has brought to the fore a successor to its Pentax X70. Christened X90, the most significant feature in the new model is the presence of a special Intelligent Zoom which can go up to 162.5x. What we find amazing is the claim by the camera maker that the Intelligent Zoom of up to that magnitude comes about without compromising on the optical performance. We think we should go for it, if that is true.

An early listing at an online reseller’s website helped reveal Pentax’s new upcoming cameras. Photos of the Pentax Optia H90, L-10 and E-90 have now leaked out in full. While not much is known about the specs of the cams, some really good pics are available as well as some sketchy details.

It is called the Korejanai K-x, and it comes with bright red, blue, yellow and white. Pentax on Monday unveiled the camera, which is a colorful version of its own K-x DSLR, in Japan. But why such a name you wonder? Pentax has the answer. The camera comes modeled on the Korejanai Robots.

Is it just the colors and the name that are unique? Seems more so! A closer look reveals that the Pentax Korejanai K-x has almost the similar features as what the slew of cameras available in the US and other parts of the world offer. For instance, it comes with 12.4MP resolution, 2.7-inch rear LCD, 720p HD video capability, and an 18 to 55mm lens. What’s so unique about this camera then?
