HTC acquires homescreen UI designer Abaxia

HTC has bought out a french firm, Abaxia, specializing in creating customized software for operators and cellphone manufacturers. The acquisition is said to be worth $13.1 million, and gives HTC access to the developer's cutting-edge software in UI design. Abaxia currently offers many customized homescreen packages, with integrated carrier logos and social networking integration.
