Many considered the iPhone a joke in terms of gaming possibilities when it came out, but today, this is far from true, as the device can easily be considered one of the most important gaming platforms right now. Apple are continuing to purge apps from their App Store, as they’ve recently started. It all started with the “sexy” apps oriented towards displaying pleasing pictures of women. It looks like it won’t stop there though, as some developers are reporting that Apple will also be purging pre-made apps – for example, RSS apps which were made using templates from app-building websites.

The Apple special event gave us nothing more than the iPad and the iPhone 4G hopefuls were left in dismay. Rumors have now started pouring in and here we have the first ‘probable’ look at the iPhone 4G which has been codenamed the N89. Previous iPhone models were codenamed M68, N82 and N88 and therefore the N89 codename sounds genuine. It was actually the iPhone OS 3.2 SDK where the codenamed was discovered for the iPhone 4G along with codenames for the iPhone 3G.

Other than discovering information about the next-gen iPhone, the SDK and Firmware arrival also gives hints about the next iPod touch version for which the firmware 3.1.3 will be made available.

The tablet is arriving, and it seems like a few parents have started speculating on what it would bring to their kids. No doubt, the tablet will be a toy, a learning device and much more for the children of the world. While it is for sure that many kids would find it wonderful to have a larger screen where their iPod Touch apps would be magnified, many others would see it as a home-schooling tool too.
