Vizio VO47LF HDTV Flat-panel Review

Great image quality and relatively inexpensive, Vizio’s VO47LF is a great HDTV flat-panel LCD.

Vizio VO47LF Review

Vizio manages to respect their brand and produces pretty good televisions.

The one we got to review this time, the V047LF model is nothing but a standard 1080p display (with 1920×1080 native resolution, 500 cd/m2 brightness and a 6500:1 contrast ratio), that doesn’t feature the design elegance we expected but manages to deliver fantastic picture and accurate color for a good price.

The 16.6 million colors TV packs automatic color equalization, has an Anti-Static and hard coated surface, fast signal response times with reduced pixel noise, 178 Degree Viewing Angle and an integrated Digital/QAM television tuner.

There are four HDMI slots, a PC input, a stereo pair of Audio inputs two Component inputs (YPbPr) with matching stereo Audio Ins, one Composite (with Audio), one VGA (15 pin D-Sub) with a stereo Audio In mini-plug, one S-Video (with audio), a Service port, an SPDIF (optical) digital Audio Out and a stereo pair of RCA analog Audio Outs.

Enough with the good part. Vizio VO47LF has some inaccurate color temperature presets, below-average off-angle viewing, and is the proud “owner” of only two aspect ratio modes with HD sources. However, bottom line, the well equipped flat panel LCD from Vizio really manages to impress both in picture quality and price at the same time. It’s a good deal for your buck.
