It is always good to maintain a record of your gaming database and it feels all the more better if that database gets automatically updated. As far as the Halo games on the Xbox are concerned, such a privilege of accessing automatic databases alongwith tracking your gaming progress and achievements is possible using the Halo Waypoint Tool. Microsoft has been talking about the special surprise and the gaming fanatics are guessing that the Halo Waypoint availability could be that big surprise.

Slated for a September 22 release date in Europe — which is today, the new Halo 3: ODST will try to get you further into the sci-fi universe by packing an exclusive beta key for Halo Reach. As good as it may sound, it looks like Microsoft hopes that featuring the Halo Reach multiplayer Beta (only live in 2010) on the new Halo 3: ODST disc will act like a sales enhancement for those looking to experience the amazing Halo world.
“We saw the success of this mechanic with the Halo 3 multiplayer beta that came on the Crackdown game disc and the continued sales momentum and excitement generated around that title throughout its lifecycle, and we fully expect Halo 3: ODST to exceed that achievement,” said Xbox head of gaming and entertainment devices UK, Stephen McGill.
Will Halo Reach Beta be able to draw fans? Are you game?
