Samsung has demonstrated for the market a couple of pocket HD camcorders. The two new pocket devices, Samsung HMX-U20 and Samsung HMX-U15, will arrive sporting Full HD capabilities. This means it would be possible to ensure high-definition video at 1920-by-1080 at 30 progressive frames per second. To be commercially available the coming Spring season, Samsung is expected to attach tags of $249.99 on the HMX-U20 and $229.99 on the HMX-U15.

Nikon CoolPix P100, the compact superzoom camera that got straight to our hearts with its five-way stabilized 26x optical zoom lens, HDR functionality and the ability to shoot H.264 video at 1080p, has just become available with various retailes for a rather afforadable $400
. Listed as a “shipping soon” device, the CoolPix P100 superzoom will probably hit your doorstep in three to five weeks if we’re to believe the Amazon listing.

The war for the slimmest LCD TV in the world is always on and it is Samsung in the 40″ category which again has its nose ahead. The Needle Slim from Samsung is a 3mm thin thick 40″ Full HD LED Backlight TV.

The Needle Slim series is not yet available in the market but we suppose that it is a production ready prototype and Samsung will like to unveil it as early as possible.

Samsung is not the only company to tackle the green minded, as it looks like BenQ is shifting to an environment conscious policy by announcing the newBenQ V-series Eco Displays. Measuring in at 24- and 21.5-inches for the new BenQ V2400 Eco and V2200 Eco, respectively, both widescreens are expected to rope in the latest in monitor LED technology.
Both the Full HD 1080p V2400 Eco and Full HD 1080p V2200 Eco are designed with zero light leakage and offer an ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 for intense blacks and extreme whites. And talking about the name, the new BenQ V-series displays feature the Eco technology that ensures 30-percent less power-consumption with no sacrifice in visual acuity.
The displays have a 28% recycled plastic frame and are being delivered in a recycled carton made from 80% recycled paper material, printed with 70% less ink. Both the V2400 Eco and V2200 Eco will be available in China starting this month.
