HP Slate , what is supposed to be the most probably competitor to Apple’s iPad was demoed here today at a rock concert, showing off Flash capability and running on Windows 7. We had seen it first when Steve Ballmer was waving it around at CES. Now a cool video has come out from Adobe showing off its Flash-compatibility as well as other features.

SanDisk is finally offering the world its best Secure Digital card in the highest capacity 64GB Ultra SDXC joining Panasonic, which made public 32GB and 64GB Ultra SDXC cards a couple of months ago. Given the standards SanDisk maintains this may be the best option out there in the niche market leaving Panasonic way beyond.

Is there something missing from Apple’s approach to connecting consumers to content? We are talking of the latest iPad. If you haven’t thought about it, here’s Adobe’s take on that. Ever since its development almost 8-9 years ago, Secure Digital memory cards have grown to be one of the most popular forms of storage in consumer electronics devices. Gadgets ranging from digital cameras to ebook readers use some variant of SD card for data storage.

The original SD specification allowed storage sizes of upto 4GB. The SDHC ( High Capacity ) standard which came later, increased this limit to 32GB, even though theoretically its data structures should allow capacities upto 2TB. The SDXC ( eXtended Capacity ) standard was announced at the 2009 CES which officially supports upto 2TB capacities.

The last time we wrote about the the malicious PDF file that exploits Flash Player and related softwares-better known as the Zero Day Bug-we mentioned that the exploit was developed a couple of weeks back and the bug has been around since December 2008.

It is now being reported that Adobe’s Security response team was aware of it and the related consequences and it wrongly diagnosed the problem as data loss corruption.

Adobe Flash Player is vulnerable to a malicious Acrobat PDF File and the vulnerability is being exploited to land a Trojan on to computers. The concerns are serious as Flash exists on all browsers, it is available in PDF files and it isn’t restricted to a particular Operating system.
