HP Slate , what is supposed to be the most probably competitor to Apple’s iPad was demoed here today at a rock concert, showing off Flash capability and running on Windows 7. We had seen it first when Steve Ballmer was waving it around at CES. Now a cool video has come out from Adobe showing off its Flash-compatibility as well as other features.

Kindle doesn’t seem to be kindling any hope for Amazon. The European release came about as expected but then, who is the telecom player that will get it going still remains an unanswered question. The Kindle e-book has not been able to find a telco who would be its supplier.
That in fact is the Amazon version of the story. What we understand is that Amazon has not yet even tried to talk to any of the European telecom companies as to who will have the e-book contract. The UK’s mobile phone companies feel irked that they haven’t have still been contacted.

The last time we wrote about the the malicious PDF file that exploits Flash Player and related softwares-better known as the Zero Day Bug-we mentioned that the exploit was developed a couple of weeks back and the bug has been around since December 2008.

It is now being reported that Adobe’s Security response team was aware of it and the related consequences and it wrongly diagnosed the problem as data loss corruption.

Adobe Flash Player is vulnerable to a malicious Acrobat PDF File and the vulnerability is being exploited to land a Trojan on to computers. The concerns are serious as Flash exists on all browsers, it is available in PDF files and it isn’t restricted to a particular Operating system.
