In case you haven’t heard much about the new line of netbooks that Acer prefers to keep under wraps for the moment, we would like to tell you these devices have made us simply wonderstruck as they unfolded before our eyes. What pushes us into even depths of awe is the fact that Acer, which had granted us a first look of the new Acer 1830T netbook a few days ago, is all set to bring in two new marvels called the Acer Aspire 1825PT and Aspire 1825PTZ. The unveiling might just happen in a couple of months.

Acer had shown off their Aspire One 532G netbook touting NVIDIA’s Ion 2 chipset at the MWC 2010 last month. They hadn’t at that time given any clue as to how much it would cost. Well, they decided to do that today at their CeBit 2010 press conference. The 10-inch netbook will cost €379 ($516) once it hits the stores.

The Ion has arrived. Nvidia’s much-anticipated Ion graphics processor has debuted bringing with it the capabilities to spur netbooks to take the fast lane towards unmatched performance. The new Nvidia Ion graphics processor is expected to lend more muscle to netbooks making possible 10 times the graphics performance of standard netbooks. Also, the new processor is also being credited with the capability of pushing up battery life to up to 10 hours, thanks to the presence of the Nvidia Optimus technology.

Here’s some disappointment coming your way. Acer’s plans to hop on to the e-reader bandwagon have been kept in the freezer, at least for now. The reason being said is that Acer would like to learn how feasible its business model would be than go for a product at the moment. It seems like the world’s second largest PC maker thinks that the e-reader market would take a while to evolve and prove itself.

Canada’s largest wireless carrier has confirmed that they’ll be the first mobile operator in North America to be getting the new Acer Liquid, and the first in Canada to bring an Android 2.1 smartphone (if we disregard the Telus Motorola Milestone that will be getting Android 2.1, soon).

Acer is committed to make its presence felt at the Mobile World Congress 2010 and it has raided the event with a range of phones that use both the Google Android and Windows Mobile 6.5.3 platforms. The Android devices include phones from the beTouch series- beTouch E110 and E400 while the Microsoft OS laden devices include the neoTouch 1 P300 and neoTouch 1 P400. This tally adds to already outed Acer Android 2.1 Liquid e which is one of the top-end Acer smartphones for this year.

Topping the chart out of this quartet is the WinMo 6.5.3 neoTouch1 P400 which comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen, a Qualcomm 600MHz processor, b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, slot for a microSD card, a headphone jack and 3.2-megapixel camera. The main attraction is its onboard compass and the accelerometer along with Bing search and a dedicated YouTube application.

Here is another first coming right from the MWC 2010 and for a change, it is not a cellphone but a netbook dubbed the Acer Aspire One 532G. Unlike any other netbook in the market, Acer 532G is the first netbook in the world to embrace Nvidia’s next generation ION GPU- ION 2 graphics. It seems that suddenly no one is talking about Pine Trail so for the records then, the Acer Aspire One 532G comes with an Intel N450 Pine Trail chip.

It is evident that Acer wants to lure in buyers who look for a compact carry away media house, but the number of people interested is scant although this machine may bring about a revolution.
