The Apple iPhone 3GS will debut in India by hopping on to the Bharti Airtel network. The decision comes after the Indian carrier said it has inked a deal with Apple Inc to this effect. So if things work as planned, Airtel will have the iPhone 3GS at its stores and network in the coming months. Customers are a delighted lot as they gear up to sport their iPhone 3GS in a few months’ time.

SlingMedia has brought to public attention its latest innovative SlingPlayer app that would run on Androids. The new app detailed by the company comes across as a feature that would allow Android users to stream video from a Slingbox, over 3G data networks or Wi-Fi on a mobile phone.

It is official. The official details about the HTC HD2 that would hop on to the T-Mobile network have been let out by the carrier. The decision to make things official came close on the heels of a leak. T-Mobile will bring to customers the new HTC smartphone on March 24, and that date is just a few days away.

Is the HTC HD2 arriving soon? Yes, says T-Mobile. According to an invite sent out to the media, T-Mobile has said it would be holding an event to detail the HTC HD2 before tech writers and shutterbugs. So, from what we gather, T-Mobile is likely to push its HTC HD2 version on March 16 at a platform being set up in New York.

Sling Media has finally arrived at the AT&T 3G shores with its mobile application for the iPhone dubbed the SlingPlayer Mobile which is a perfect dossier for TV fanatics. It is almost been an year that Sling Media first came up with a mobile TV version using WiFi but, things have finally been sorted out and the same service is now up for streaming through the AT&T 3G network.

Acer had earlier entered the Android smartphone arena with the Acer Liquid. Now details have come out about two new smartphones from Acer, one of which is going to be powered by Android. The Acer E110, will run on Android and Acer P300 will run Windows Mobile. Both will be full-touchscreen phones with quadband GSM and UMTS-HSDPA support. E110 has also been confirmed to have a US AT&T version. More details below.

In a definite U-turn on its earlier agenda of denying iPhone users the ability of streaming Sling over 3G, AT&T has gone back on the decision. The wireless network has now decided to support Sling Media’s SlingPlayer Mobile app over its 3G mobile broadband network.
