Lenovo ThinkPad P1, Lightest and Thinnest Mobile Workstation, Unveiled

August 13, 2018, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Lenovo has unveiled two new workstations for those demanding powerful hardware. The ThinkPad P1 and the ThinkPad P72 is being rolled out with an aim to be the perfect companion for creative users, engineers and the likes.

Out of the two, the ThinkPad P1 would cater to those who are having portability concerns, as the device comes with the trait of being the thinnest laptop rolled out by the Chinese company. Weighing less than 4lbs, the ThinkPad P1 is also the slimmest in the workstation category with a measurement of 18.4mm.

Despite the scaling down of measurements, Lenovo has managed to bring in all the uniqueness of the ThinkPad series to the P1 including an array of high-end specifications. To start with, the ThinkPad P1 features the latest 8th-gen Xeon processors from Intel.  The graphics is powered by the NVIDIA Quadro P2000 GPU.

These should be more than enough for photographers and graphic designers to fall in love with this machine. Add to that the weight of 3.76 mm, and ThinkPad P1 emerges to be among the top-choice for those who don’t like to confine their work to a single desk. And there’s much to offer on the connectivity front too, with the ThinkPad P1 packing a 4-in-1 SD card reader, Thunderbolt 3 USB, combo audio jack, smart card reader, HDMI 2.0 and a mini Gigabit Ethernet port.

Users can grab the ThinkPad bundle along with the laptop that will hand over a Thunderbolt Workstation dock, a backpack, and ThinkVision P32u Monitor.
