Nokia 6.1 Plus Gears Up for India Debut; Chance for Fans to Witness Launch

August 6, 2018, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

HMD Global, the Finnish mobile company which manufactures Nokia phones, is gearing up to introduce its Nokia 6.1 Plus in the Indian market. This was revealed by way of a teaser on the company’s official Twitter handle.

The teaser does not reveal much on what kind of phone the company is planning to release in the country. However, it is evident that the company is planning a huge event, which the fans can also attend.

The company has provided a link that redirects to a page where fans can share a specific Nokia experience. The experience shared will be part of the contest post, from which the lucky ones will be selected to attend upcoming launch event.

All details of the event is not yet out. So information on event venue and the time of the event still remain a question mark.

The support page for Nokia 6.1 Plus has become active in India; this is the only hint that says the Nokia 6.1 Plus is set to be launched at the event.  There are possibilities of company launching phones other than Nokia 6.1 Plus.

This might include the Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 2.1, the 2018 versions of the trendy phones from 2017. The company is planning to bring more of its attractive products to the Indian market as it is the second most important market for Nokia after China.

The event which is expected to take place in August will unveil a set of Nokia’s budget segment phones. Nokia 6.1 which is most likely to be launched will come with a price tag of INR 25,000 for the Indian market. HMD Global had earlier launched the same phone in China as Nokia X6.
