Motorola Moto X 5 Could be Motorola’s Comeback Vehicle

Motorola Mobility launched its first Moto X device in 2013. The Moto Z4 which was launched in the 2017 was not much successful. In fact the device was nowhere close to the Moto G5 Plus. Even though the devices launched by the company were not so great, the company was set to make its comeback. And this time, the handset maker will launch the Moto X 5.

There are rumors that Lenovo will unveil the Moto X 5 t this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) which will commence on 26thFebruary 2018. Apart from Moto X 5, new Motorola Moto G 6, G 6 Plus and G 6 Play will also be launched. Moto G 6 and Moto G6 plus is expected to come with a dual camera set up.

Motorola’s Moto G 5 and G 5Plus were quite successful in the market and were also cheap. The upcoming handsets are also expected to feature the same.

The purported images of Moto X 5 had leaked online a while ago. As per what is shown, the phone’s bezel is much slimmer than that of Moto X 4. The phone has a few similarities with iPhone X too. The dual camera on top of the phone  is placed on the either side of the speaker just like it is carved into an iPhone X notch while  the black bar at the top of the screen contains the signal and battery indicator is also similar to that is in iPhone X. The smart phone is rumored to boast companies own smart AI assistant called Moto XP and will run on Android 8.0.

The Moto X 5 will feature a 5.9 inch display screen while the G6 series which are set to launch together with Moto X will feature a 5.2 inch IPS LCD display which used Gorilla Glass 3. The handset is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 or 845 processor as the previous phone Moto X 4 came with a 630 chip. With internal memory storage of 64GB the phone will sport 4GB of RAM.

Apart from these, we also hear the smart phone will have a facial recognition feature to unlock the handset.
