Those who know the automotive world would know that the Jaguar E Type Roadster is an iconic car. It’s been years since the Jaguar Land Rover first rolled out this car, but now it has now sprang a surprise by injecting green into the iconic vehicle.

Jaguar Land Rover has brought to the fore a new improved version of its Jaguar E Type, and it is called Jaguar E Type Zero. That means it has gone fully electric.

The electric car has been built based on the 1968 Series 1.5 Jaguar E-type Roadster, and races from 0 to 62 miles per hour time of just 5.5 seconds. This capability makes it a tad better than the original Jaguar E Type Roadster, in fact.

An electric powertrain that pushes out 220 kW resides under the hood. A report suggested that the E-type Zero combines the E-type dynamic experience with enhanced performance through electrification. That in fact brings in a much smoother driving experience.

Features include a 40 kWh battery that returns a distance of around 170 miles. The battery can be fully recharged in around seven hours.
