Alcatel A7 Shows Up via Leak

August 26, 2017, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We have yet another leak, and as had been the practice it is yet another Alacatel phone that has showed up on web terrain. The IFA 2017 is round the bend and the new leak gives us much to hope for, indeed.

The phone now out in the open is the Alcatel A7. The leak comes courtesy of Roland Quandt, who posted them on his Twitter page. The phone has been shown with a benchmark listing from GFXBench.

The benchmark listing of course leaves nothing to the imagination in terms of specs. We need to expect the Alcatel A7 to come sporting a 5.5-inch screen of FullHD resolution.  The pictures don’t show a home button on the bottom part of the front panel, which could mean that the phone maker has decided not to have it at all.

The space where one normally finds the home button has been taken up by a second speaker. The device is expected to be powered by a MediaTek MT6750T with octa-core CPU. We need to look for 3/4 GB with 32 GB storage.

Going by Quandt’s images, the A7 will have a camera that boasts dual 16 MP sensors. Meanwhile, the front 8 MP camera will take care of the selfies. The front camera will also carry along an LED flash to boost low-light performance.

Android 7.0 Nougat OS is what would drive the device. We need to expect A7 to officially debut at the IFA expo that gets underway by the month end.
