Samsung Bixby Smart Speaker to Take On Amazon Echo

Amazon Echo has got an able competitor, and it comes from the house of Samsung. Though there had been rumors about Samsung’s new device, Samsung mobile president, DJ Koh confirmed that the new Bixby powered speakers will definitely be with us soon.

According to a CNBC report quoting Koh, Samsung is indeed working on a smart speaker that will be launched “soon”. The new device is expected to hold out against similar rigs from Amazon, Apple, and Google

The company is expected to announce its arrival any time soon, Koh said in an interview with CNBC just ahead of the launch of the Note 8 smartphone launch.

From what it looks like, Samsung is moving fast with the new upcoming product and looks forward to bring to the market place a complete user experience with Samsung devices.

Bixby, the company’s digital personal assistant, in fact, would be the centerpiece of attention in a world where Samsung would build its dreams on the smart home arena. The phone maker had been testing Bixby for long, and if you have noticed Bixby Home was already present as a function in the Galaxy S8 smartphone and Note 8.

The design of the smart speaker is still under wraps. Also, Samsung hasn’t given away many details as to whether the smart speaker would be powered by Bixby digital personal assistant. What we get to hear is that the smart speaker product would be deployed to connect to lights, TVs, or even thermostats Significantly, all voice commands would trigger Bixby to work.
