Fisker EMotion Set for CES 2018 Launch; To Take on Tesla’s ECars

August 21, 2017, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Tesla seems to be in for good rivalry, with electric car company Fisker teasing its first all-electric luxury car. The eCar, christened EMotion, has been positioned in the luxury segment and is expected to be launched next year when the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) gets underway in January.

Folks at TheStreet have been told specifically by Fisker that the luxury electric car will be unveiled at the CES 2018 scheduled to take place in Las Vegas in January 2018.

However, you need to know that though the launch would happen at the CES in January next, it will take a while for the car to be yours. You may have to wait at least until 2019 for that to happen.  The pre-orders have, however, begun.

Going by earlier reports, the Fisker EMotion would carry a price tag starting at $129,000. Features include a 400 miles range on a single charge, and could bring with it the Level 4 autonomous driving functionality too.

The technology part is yet to be detailed. But, considering that the EMotion is a luxury car, we need to expect high end specs and top of the line technology innovation under the hood. Let’s wait till CES 2018 begins.
