Fitness gadgets from Garmin tend to stand apart, even as a whole lot of manufacturers have been pushing out their products in quick succession. Take for example, the VivoFit and Vivoactive line of activity trackers. The devices are a loved lot, and now Garmin is up with something new.

The next new wearable fitness tracker from the Garmin stables looks so much like a watch and less like a bracelet as you would have expected. Images posted online by folks at Wareable give us some clue on how the new Garmin Vivoactive 3 will look like.

It is being said that this new device would be Garmin’s first Vivoactive-branded device with a circular display. That doesn’t mean Garmin hasn’t made a watch like design before. If you are familiar with the $150 Vivomove, you would know it is more of an analog watch that tracks your fitness activity.

However, the new upcoming Vivoactive 3 is a device that scores more brownie points. Made to look like a smartwatch, it comes with the capabilities that would allow it to display step counts, stair climbing stats, and other information on the watch face.

Going by the images we see, it could also have the ability to let you respond to text messages. An optical heart rate sensor is an add-on.

The Vivoactive 3, which in most probability could be a waterproof device, hasn’t yet revealed what it would cost or when it would arrive in stores.
