LG V30 Arrival Date Confirmed; Stay Tuned for August 31

August 8, 2017, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We now have a date for the LG V30. And the confirmation comes from the manufacturer, no less. The smartphone maker has made it known to fans worldwide that its much-anticipated LG V30 will launch on August 31 in Berlin during the IFA.

If you would remember, LG had last month shared an invite for its IFA press event. The invite had triggered hopes of seeing the device at IFA. However, the company kept us all waiting, and has now finally decided to tell us that the phone will of course debut at the IFA.

The invite that was shared then had three letters – Lights, Camera, Action – prominently written. This had spurred discussions on whether the upcoming device would be a multimedia machine. We are yet to zero in on that aspect, and, we guess, we need to wait for the big day to dawn before attempting speculation on that front.

Going by what the predecessor – LG V20 – had brought along with it, we need to expect additional muscle in the upcoming device. The V20 was of course a charming multimedia rig, housing within itself a range of image and video editing tools, software options, an awesome audio DAC, Hi-Fi audio, and more.

So, when the V30 comes, these aspects are sure to get spruced up significantly. We had a while ago heard by way of a leak that the LG V30 might sport a camera with an f/1.6 aperture. Further, it was said that the device will come equipped with brand new Cine Video and Live Zoom effects. The leak had also hinted at the presence of a new Hi-Fi Digital Filter and Hi-Fi Streaming with MQA. We need to expect all these, and may be, more too.

Let’s wait for August 31.
