Motorola Z2 Play will Apparently Have Minimal Design Revamps

Motorola Z Play, one of the most brilliant mid-range smartphones of last year is getting a successor this year. The Z2 Play is still to be announced by the Lenovo-owned brand, but new leaks have now appeared giving us glimpses of how the device would look like.

TechnoBuffalo have now leaked the render images of the Motorola Z2 Play, and as expected, it features the very design that we saw in the predecessor. But this never comes as a disappointment, as any change in that design would mean that the Z2 Play would have to take a deviation from the parent line-up.

The original Z Play was so designed to accommodate its long-life battery, camera back and of course, the Moto Mod compatibility. Altering that would have definitely raised concerns among the minds. At least it’s now clear that the successor will indeed carry forward the features that made the original device a popular one.

While the design has been kept similar alongside retaining the ringed camera hump and the 16-prong connector for Moto Mod, Motorola has decided to impart one little change. And that’s with the shape of the Moto logo, which has gone from square to round.

Nothing else is known as of now beyond the design of the Moto Z2 Play. But we can expect some powerful mid-range specs packed in the device. There’s also no word on when the device would be unveiled. The leaked image features a clock that lists June 8, which could possibly be an indication of its arrival date, but you should take that with a pinch of salt.
